CITY OF UMHLATHUZE RATES HALLS BACK TO NORMAL

City of uMhlathuze Rates payment centres are now open to the members of the public. Richards Bay Civic Centre, eMpangeni Civic Centre and other satellite centres in surbubs and townships are back to full operations as of today.

Customers with rates related enquiries, statement requests, payments, etc. may now visit our centres with caution for their own safety and that of our employees.
Measures to ensure safety against contraction of COVID-19 are in place such as maintenance of Social Distancing, hand sanitisers, perspex glasses and information signages are all in place.

Members of the public are urged to adhere to the regulations such as compulsory wearing of face masks, when visiting our facilities.
The City has also expanded methods of obtaining municipal services online and through telephone and social media enquiries. Customers and community members are encouraged to explore these measures as they are aimed at easing up long queues that might be caused by the Social Distancing regulations.

We reiterate that customers may purchase prepaid electricity in supermarkets nearby them and units are the same as when you purchase directly from the Municipal office.

All online methods of payment will be published tomorrow via the media.
