CITY OF UMHLATHUZE MAYOR LAUNCHES A GROUNDBREAKING YOUTH EMPOWERMENT PROGRAMME

The City of uMhlathuze Mayor Councillor Mduduzi Mhlongo will tomorrow kicks off the Young Economic Emancipation Programme (YEEP), an initiative aimed at empowering young people with skills, job placement and path channelling according to relevant qualifications.

Mhlongo has drummed up support from all companies and industries around the City of uMhlathuze towards this noble programme, which will see ten thousand young people being empowered.

This is in response to the challenges identified through the IDP such as youth unemployment, low levels of skills, high levels of unemployed graduates cites as a major threats to Local Economic Development, and job creation in the City.  

The YEEP Launch is scheduled as follows:

VENUE: ZCBF (Alton, Richards Bay King Fisher Hall)

TIME: 9H00

Companies, industries and social partners will also be present and exhibiting their products and services to high school leaners who will be present at the launch.
