Beautiful flowers of the City of uMhlathuze braved todays rain and gathered in their thousands at Ngwelezana Community Hall for a camp preluding the annual Reed dance to be held at Nyokeni Royal Palace KwaNongoma in the first weekend of the South African Heritage and Tourism month. The proud maiden were coming from KwaDube, KwaMkhwanazi, KwaZungu, Kwakhoza and KwaSomopho traditional authorities to get some life lessons related to isimilo, ukuziphatha, inhlanzeko, ukufunda and awareness on social ills. City's Deputy Mayor and Speaker Cllrs Dudu Sibiya and Slondile Mkhize joined the parade from Ngwelezana traffic circle to the hall dancing in the rain with the maidens. The ANC led City of UMhlathuze will dispatch more than 15 busses to the Reed dance, inspected and escorted by Traffic Officers to and from the City to ensure their safety.
