City Mayor Cllr Mduduzi Mhlongo will tomorrow lead a team of Councillors, Officials and stakeholders in planting the trees to mark the Arbor Week. Mayor, Deputy Mayor Cllr Dudu Sibiya and Speaker Cllr Slondile Mkhize will be joined by amongst others, Departments of Economic Development and Environmental Affairs, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries and industries such as the Richards Bay Industrial Development Zone (RBIDZ), Foskor, Mondi, Ezemvelo Wildlife and Wildlands. The Mayor will also engage members of the public and school children on critical environmental issues. This is against the background that the City of uMhlathuze especially Richards Bay area is environmentally sensitive and its also industrial.
