CITY OF UMHLATHUZE MAYOR PAYS A VISIT TO THE FAMILY OF A SLAIN COUNCILLOR

City of uMhlathuze Mayor Cllr Xolani Ngwezi, accompanied by Speaker Cllr Tobias Gumede and Chief Whip Cllr Nkonzoyakhe Donda has this morning paid a visit to the family of the EFF PR councillor Nkosingiphile Mthembu who was killed on Tuesday (yesterday) morning.

Mayor Ngwezi has described the late councillor Mthembu as a very fearless and brave councillor who always stood his ground, “We will remember councillor Mthembu as a man of courage and braveness, the departure of a father, husband and community leader is never an easy one, especially to those who have been closer to him; We therefore relay our condolences to the family and promise to work closely with the family to make sure that we grant councillor Mthembu a dignified send-off,” said Ngwezi.

Funeral details of councillor Mthembu will be communicated in due course, once the family communicate the dates with the council.
